iLOQ accelerates deployment of its mobile access sharing solution for Cellnex throughout Europe.

At the end of 2020, iLOQ signed a long-term framework agreement to be one of the favored priority suppliers for access control for Cellnex’s network of telecom masts and datacenters. From the beginning of 2021, the deployment of iLOQ products has accelerated throughout Europe.

Providing services in Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden and Poland, Cellnex Telecom is the leading operator of wireless telecommunications and broadcasting infrastructures in Europe.

Cellnex offers its customers a range of services to guarantee the conditions for reliable and high-quality transmission of voice, data and audiovisual content. It develops solutions in the field of ‘smart city’ projects that optimize services to the public via networks and services that facilitate municipal management, and also has a significant role in the deployment of safety and emergency networks for the security forces.

• A smartphone as a key and power source
Security and efficient access control priorities for Cellnex operations. The Company recognized the quality and innovation of the iLOQ S50 product range and deployments began already in Q2 of 2020.

Designed specifically, for example, for facilities that are a vital part of the infrastructure, iLOQ S50 is a keyless solution. The energy needed for unlocking comes from a smartphone running the iLOQ S50 mobile app. Access rights can be updated remotely in real time, and multiple sites can be conveniently consolidated into one user-friendly and secure cloud-based software platform.

As a battery-free solution, iLOQ S50 is helping Cellnex reduce maintenance costs and eliminate battery waste and the environmental impact of travelling between sites and administration offices to update access rights.
